So you're stuck in Bangkok and want to escape the mind numbing traffic and congestion of the mangled highway system in Thailand's capital. Well well, this may just be the place for you and it's only 2 hours away by car.
What's in Nakhon Nayok and why would you go there? Really other beaches there is loads to do from epic pink temples in the forest, historic dam tours, tasty cafes and outdoor markets not to mention unlimited hiking, biking and camping (oh I forgot waterfalls as well).
Let's start - First I went for the The Khun Dan Prakan Chon Dam, then on a boat ride and hike that led me to a free flowing smaller river and waterfall. The video above is a two part series that you can see on my Youtube channel: Travelingonthego.
Our second stop included a famous Pink Temple known as Wat Khao Durian. The entire grounds and temple itself are pink and totally stunning. I've never seen any structure so pink in my life. You can go inside the temple or walk the grounds as you encounter other pink structures and statues around the buddhist temple. There is path also that winds up the mountain to view point (if it's still open). #pinktemple #pink #pinktemplethailand
Unlike Pattaya, Hua Hin or Rayong (souther destinations near Bangkok) this place is less visited and this is especially perfect when you are coming back on a Sunday and the majority of crazed weekenders are fighting their way back from the southern beach cities.
If you want more information please follow one of my channels or social media accounts and DM in the comments. I'm happy to help out.
